Hospitality is the hardest environment a solid fuel appliance can live in. The person lighting the fire changes every few nights, has no idea how the appliance behaves, and will happily load it with whatever is in the basket. Deposits build quickly and faults appear faster than in a family home.

The guest problem, and how to design around it
Most hospitality call-outs we attend are not appliance faults. They are a guest closing the air control on a cold flue, burning damp logs left in an outdoor store, or overfilling the firebox. All three are avoidable with the right setup.
We will advise on fuel storage that keeps logs genuinely dry, and on simple in-room instructions that a guest will actually read. Where an appliance is repeatedly misused, sometimes the right answer is a different appliance rather than more visits.
Fitting around changeover
A booking calendar does not bend. We hold a specific time rather than a window, work between checkout and check-in, and leave the room presentable rather than merely clean of soot.
For properties with several rooms carrying stoves, we do the lot in one visit so you lose one changeover slot rather than five.
Safety and paperwork for a public-facing property
Carbon monoxide alarms are essential in any let with a fuel-burning appliance, and in a hotel setting they need testing on a schedule, not once at installation. We check alarms as part of every visit and report anything missing or badly sited.
Certificates are issued per room or per property so they map to your own records, and we keep condition notes so a recurring problem in one flue is visible over time rather than being rediscovered each year.
