Modern stoves and modern rooms
Contemporary stoves tend to be taller and slimmer, with large glass panels and clean lines. They are often chosen for open-plan kitchens, extensions and newer houses, which raises a practical point straight away: many of those rooms have no chimney.
That is not a barrier. We install twin wall flue systems, which run inside or outside the building, so a modern stove can go where the room works best rather than where an old chimney happens to be.
Chimney or twin wall: choosing the flue
Where there is a chimney, we check it and line it if needed. Where there is not, a twin wall flue is planned from the stove's position up through the roof or along an outside wall. The survey settles which route is safe, practical and tidy for your property, and we explain the trade-offs before you decide.
- Existing chimney: inspection, liner where needed, register plate

Fitting a design you have already picked
Modern stoves are often chosen on looks first, and we are happy to fit one you have bought. If you have not chosen yet, we can supply one and advise on output so a small room is not overheated by a stove sized for an open-plan space. We name no favourite brands here; the right stove is the one that suits your room and flue.
Commissioning and aftercare
When the stove and flue are in, we light it, check it draws and walk you through the air controls, which on many contemporary models behave differently to older stoves. The installation is signed off with a HETAS certificate. After that, annual sweeping and stove servicing keep the glass clean and the flue clear.

Can I have a modern stove without a chimney?
Yes. We install twin wall flue systems, internal or external, so a chimney is not required.
Can you fit a stove I bought online?
Yes, provided the survey shows it suits the room and flue. We advise before you buy if you ask.
